Tosha, Treatment Team Leader

After working in the veterinary profession for more than 18 years; I am pursuing a degree to be a Licensed Veterinary Technician via San Juan College. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore many different aspects of the field.

I enjoy working with animals of all kinds (and their humans). I love to spend my free time outdoors with my family and friends, including my husband Kedrick, my kids and doggies; exploring my love for animals and as a Massage Therapist.

Animal Medical of Chesapeake- Amy, LVT provides pet care at 921 Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, Va 23320

Amy, Licensed Veterinary Technician

Hello!  After graduating from Northern Virginia Community College in 2007, and sitting for the National Boards I qualified for my Veterinary Technician License.

A lifelong animal lover, i have been working in small animal practice since 2003 and joined Animal Medical of Chesapeake in 2009.  I have since expanded my passion to help others by obtaining my RN degree and can also be found taking care of two-legged patients at Chesapeake General Hospital.  But I so enjoy my 4-legged patients, that I have also been fortunate to continue my relationship with Animal Medical.

Becky, Veterinary Assistant

Hi! I have an associate's degree for Business Management and am currently working on a degree in Veterinarian Technology - toward my goal of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

I am a proud mother of three boys. I also have a long list of furry babies.  My pets- Bella, a hound mix, an adorable Corgi, Bullet; three cats (Marvin, Theo, Gab, Kit & Speedy); two crazy ferrets (Drizzit and Chamberlin); a few snakes, and my rats (non-snake food).

Ever since I was little I have always had an animal in my life and I always will.  As a teen, I worked with Wildlife Rescue and after hurricanes we would walk around searching for wounded animals.  Animals play a big role in my life and I will always be there for them.

When not playing with my babies, I enjoy horseback riding, seeing the latest movie, traveling, baking, and doing martial arts.  I am always looking to the future to see what life brings me!

Dani, Veterinary Assistant

Hello, my name is Danielle but I go by Dani. Born and raised in Suffolk, I am  surrounded by animals large and small. I have 2 horses, 2 high maintenance dog children, and one cat. I enjoy spending time outdoors, cruising in my jeep, and loving on my chocolate lab, Gabby.  For the past 9 years I have been lucky enough to be in the veterinary field - I've learned so much over the years and look forward to continue learning so much more! I will be working towards getting my veterinary technology license in the next few years at Tidewater Community College.

Janette, Veterinary Assistant

Hi there! My name is Janette. Over the past year I have enjoyed working with AMC clients and their furry family members. Animals have been my passion for 21 years. In 2016, my daughter, Carissa and 3 year old grandson, Aiden are what brought me here to Virginia from California. My best friend is my 8 year old pitbull Xerxes, who was born with Mega-Esophagus. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with family, new friends, camping, taking Xerxes to the beach, and listening to music. I look forward to providing the best care for you and your furry family.

Our Client Service Team:

Animal Medical of Chesapeake - Melissa is a Client Care Coordinator at 921 Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, Va 23320

Melissa, Client Care Coordinator/Veterinary Assistant

Hello! My name is Melissa. I'm a Hampton Roads native, I graduated from Great Bridge High; then completed my Associates Degree of Science at TCC. I was owned by a wonderful Golden Retriever (Mischief) who passed in 2015 and he will forever stay in my heart. Currently, my heart is claimed by my black kitty named Miso, who initially lived here at the hospital. Miso is very spoiled and definitely worth everything!  When not working or in school, I'm typically a home body with my nose in a book, cuddling with Miso while binge watching movies and shows, or out and about with my camera. I always enjoy working here at AMC because spending time with our furry friends is always rewarding.  Caring for patients and seeing clients happy is the best feeling you could have.

Animal Medical Clinic of Chesapeake - Katie Adams is Client Care Coordinator at 921 Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, Va 23320

Katie, Senior Client Care Coordinator

"Hello, I'm Katie. I am a proud parent to a grown daughter, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 birds.

After becoming a Navy wife 20+ years ago, I transferred to many different places, picking up new life-long friends along the way. Each one has touched my heart and I knew they would fit perfectly into my home. I have been known to be an easy mark for a cat in a tuxedo; so at times, you may hear me speak of one of my many black and white cats. Unfortunately, the Inn and my bed are full at the current time and I am banned from going to any pet rescue shelters by concerned family members!  Maybe when I find that winning lottery ticket, my dreams of filling my home with more 4-legged companions will come true!

Once planted in Chesapeake, I joined Animal Medical of Chesapeake as a veterinary receptionist 12 years ago and knew it was a great opportunity for me. Adding the knowledge of veterinary care to my many years of customer service has given me tools to make my position here a memorable asset to our clients and my personal pets. I am extremely grateful to those who open their homes and hearts to the furry babies that need them the most."

Lee Lee, Client Care Coordinator

Hello, my name is Lisa but everyone at AMC calls me "Lee Lee." I am a proud Air Force wife and a mother of two beautiful girls named Ava and Trinity. I'm also a proud momma of my two wonderful huskies named Hayley and Jackson. The military recently moved us to Virginia from El Paso, TX and even though I loved El Paso, I'm really enjoying the rain and water in Virginia. When I am not working, I am usually playing football or chasing my kiddos around trying to keep them active. I was very lucky to have this opportunity at AMC and look forward to getting to know each and everyone of our furry families.
